When my force gun is at maximum charge, i can no longer hear it as well. I also noticed if I did many assault rifle in sort bursts, it does okay but when I let the whole magazine fly, it stutters out about halfway through.

Yes, there is a suicide command if you're not lucky enough to "fall" to your death. Bring up the menu L2 I think and it should be in the battle menu.
